Your new Eenee Nappies are easy to use. You should always pre wash your baby’s new nappies and with Eenee’s this is very simple. Separate all the pieces of your nappies, place your pouch pants (with Velcro tabs closed) into a mesh (open weave mesh, not fabric) lingerie bag to preserve the velcro. White snap in pouches can go straight in along with your microfibre flat nappies and pouch pants. Full washing instructions at the end of this sheet.
How To Use Your Nappy
Your Eenee nappies are unique. Start by opening up a pair of pouch pants. Snap in a pouch.
Microfibre Nappies: Now fold one of your microfibre nappies according to the instructions on the pack for the size nappy you are using and the sex of your baby. Start at one end of the pouch with one end of the fabric and ease it into the pocket. The whole pant will kind of curve up at the sides and the fabric should fit quite snugly. Eenee Eco Pads: Now take one of your eco pads. Start at one end of the pouch with one end of the pad and ease it into the pocket. The whole pant will kind of curve up at the sides and the pad should fit quite snugly.
Your nappy is now ready to place under your baby with the long tabs at the front. This nappy closes towards the back. Once correctly situated, wrap the tabs around your baby and velcro close in the right position for your baby’s size. This nappy does not need to be done up very tight. As it is the inner pouch that creates a seal the nappy should be firm enough to hold the pouch against your baby’s skin but not tight enough to leave a mark.
When changing your baby, simply remove the microfibre nappy or eco pad and replace it with another. If the nappy is soiled you may find that the pouch is also dirty and in this case you can snap out the liner and snap in a fresh one and a fresh pad. On occasions you may find the whole nappy has managed to get dirty (little people are crafty!) and in this case a whole change is in order.

| Washing Your Nappies
Washing your Eenee Nappies could not be easier.
- If you used an Eco Pad, take it to the toilet, tear it in half and place it in the toilet to be flushed.
- If you used one, take the flushable liner and place it in the toilet to be flushed.
- If you used a Microfibre Nappy, take the microfibre insert you removed from the pocket rinse in warm water and place them in your nappy bucket to await washing (no soaking is required – however if there are stains on any of your boosters you can periodically soak them in non chlorine bleach if you like. (You can also soak the pockets, however be sure not to soak them for too long as it can degrade the waterproof outer over a long period.) Sun drying is a great way to sanitise and bleach out stains.
- We do not recommend the use of oils or fragrance in your nappy bucket as they can build up on your nappies and reduce absorption.
- If there are any solids on the microfibre, you can use a laundry bar soap to clean the remainder off.
- When the pouch pants get dirty you can also wash out any stains with laundry bar soap then place them in the bucket to be washed later. I usually close the Velcro tabs and place them in the mesh wash bags at this point so they are ready when I go to wash.
- When you are ready to wash your nappies, place them into the machine and wash with warm water. Powder detergent is best for your nappies and a little non chlorine bleach can also be added to your wash if you like. Be sure not to use clear or natural soap products, liquid detergents or fabric softener as they leave an oily film on the lining and hinder absorption. A regular wash cycle is fine if your nappies have been pre -rinsed.
Drying your Eenee’s is easy. Outside in the sun is always best but anywhere hung is fine. The microfibre will dry very quickly, pants may take a little longer. They can be tumble dried if needed. Remember though, that this reduces the environmental benefits of your nappies.
Congratulations on the decision to cloth nappy your baby. We feel it is one of the biggest and most important decisions you can make for your baby’s future. You have massively reduced your baby’s carbon footprint and should be proud.
